The Sexually transmitted disease/infection (STD/I) Division is responsible for the promotion of the health and well being of Maine people through the prevention and control of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV. Clinical services provide the diagnosis, treatment and management of STD/I’s. Educational presentations about STD/I’s are another critical component of STD/I prevention.
Up to 75% of people with STD/I’s have NO signs or symptoms; if you think you may have put yourself at risk you should get tested.
We Offer:
- Comprehensive STD screening (Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, gentital warts, HIV, and hepatitis.
- Anonymous HIV testing
- Condoms and dental dams.
- Educational outreach programs.
